The AHM Story Begins

American Hat Makers has been proudly handcrafting hats in the U.S.A. for over 40 years. Our founder, Gary Watrous, started selling handmade leather goods out of the back of his Chevy station wagon in the ’70s and today we have become one of the largest hat businesses with a global presence.
